Call for Applications: BAUHAUS4EU Doctoral Contract

Applications must be submitted between September 22 and November 15, 2025.

The European Universities Alliance BAUHAUS4EU draws some of its inspiration from the New European Bauhaus Initiative (New European Bauhaus: beautiful, sustainable, together. - European Union), with which it shares the values of inclusion, social innovation, sustainable development, and links with local areas. The thesis project will therefore need to show how it can transform territories and societies from the local to the global level, including regions, with a view to sustainability and inclusion through areas such as heritage, innovation and design in businesses, sustainable growth, the health economy, European cultural heritage, migration, tourism, mobility, and logistics.

The BAUHAUS4EU project includes a commitment to develop, at the alliance level, joint doctoral programmes in line with the needs of the territories in terms of resilience and sustainability. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate that their doctoral studies are in line with this approach. To this end, the doctoral student will represent Lumière Lyon 2 University on the Alliance's PhD Council.
