Blekinge Institute of Technology

Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH, has a distinctive focus on the digitalisation of society and sustainability.

BTH offers profession-oriented study programmes in the fields of engineering, Industrial economics, Spatial Planning, Sustainability and Health and focused on society’s future needs and challenges. Our courses or programmes are of high quality, student-centred and linked to research, and many intended for both national and international students.

BTH conducts research focused on digitalisation and sustainability and is often conducted in collaboration with industry, public authorities, and civil society. The research is conducted in nine different areas and BTH has high ambitions – in some fields, such as software engineering and sustainability, we are ranked as world-class.

We make the most of being a small university, with short distances between students and teachers. BTH has an international and multicultural environment. Some 100 collaborations with higher education institutions in Europe, and another 35 or so outside Europe give our students opportunities to build global networks. Karlskrona is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and we are located in a beautiful nature and archipelago.
