Joint Degree Programmes

Graduating in Multiple Different Countries at the Same Time? No Problem!

A joint degree from BAUHAUS4EU refers to a collaborative academic programme offered under the BAUHAUS4EU European University Alliance, where students earn a single degree that is jointly awarded by multiple partner universities within the alliance.

The ten partner universities collaborate in the conception of research-based joint degree programmes, characterised by an innovative structure. It will be possible for students to pursue their studies at up to three different universities in one study programme.

Key Features of a Joint Degree from BAUHAUS4EU:

  • The program is co-developed and co-delivered by several institutions in the BAUHAUS4EU alliance.

  • Courses are interdisciplinary, integrating fields like architecture and urban studies, arts and design, technology as well as sustainability.

  • Students study at multiple partner universities across different European countries.

  • Students get to know diverse academic cultures, teaching styles and perspectives.

  • Instead of multiple diplomas, graduates receive one joint diploma that is officially recognized by all participating institutions.

  • Programmes emphasise solving real-world problems (e.g., climate change, urban resilience, digital transformation) through a mix of disciplines.
