Teleporter at UE Katowice! A State-of-the-Art Teaching System Connecting 10 BAUHAUS4EU Partner Universities

The University of Economics in Katowice, as one of the first higher education institutions in the BAUHAUS4EU alliance, officially launched the Teleporter on 8 December 2025 — a modern, modular system supporting hybrid education. The event, attended by the University authorities led by HM the Rector prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak, took place as part of the official summary meeting of the BAUHAUS4EU Team at UE Katowice.

The installation of the Teleporter at the University is part of a joint investment within the BAUHAUS4EU project, in which each of the ten partner universities receives an identical, fully compatible setup. This will enable inter-university classes, joint workshops, consultations, and collaborative projects, effectively creating one “extended campus” operating across national borders.

The system uses, among other technologies, an ultra-short throw projection setup, an advanced audio system, and a camera positioned at the user’s eye level, allowing for a realistic sense of telepresence and seamless collaboration between individuals located in different places.

We can't wait until all partners have their Teleporters so that everyone can benefit from the possibilities offered by the system.
