From climate action to biodiversity, discover how the next generation is rethinking forest management, and don’t miss their final pitches live on 20 March!

How can we make forests more sustainable and resilient for the future? This week, members of the Student Council from across the Alliance are taking on this challenge during the Startup Challenge “Are you a Europreneur?” hosted at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

Throughout the programme, these student representatives follow a structured start-up journey, equipping them with the tools and mindset needed to develop innovative solutions and present them to a panel of experts at the end of the week.

Working in interdisciplinary and international teams, students are exploring new approaches to sustainable forest management by combining digital technologies, entrepreneurial thinking, and forward-looking business models. Their projects aim to address some of today’s most pressing global challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and responsible resource management.

This initiative highlights the importance of linking ecological responsibility with innovation, empowering the next generation to become active contributors to a more sustainable future.

Curious to see the results? Join the live final pitch event on Friday, 20 March at 12:00 CET and discover the students’ ideas firsthand.
