Building Belonging: BAUHAUS4EU at the European Parliament

Two BAUHAUS4EU representatives took part in the FOREU4ALL Community of Practice 3rd transversal workshop, held on 2-3 June 2026 in France, hosted at the prestigious Strasbourg European Parliament. Around 130 colleagues from 58 European University Alliances gathered to explore the topic “From Campuses to Communities: enhancing engagement and sense of belonging in European Universities” and to generate concrete ideas, based on shared challenges.

A total of 12 prototypes were developed and presented,  providing practical solutions on how alliances can build stronger and more inclusive identity within their institutions, audiences and the society at large.

The most valuable part of these intense days proved to be the opportunity to connect, discover and collaborate with people of different backgrounds and walks of life, brought and held together by the strive to participate in the creation of something meaningful for the future of higher education across Europe.

Having this highly valuable experience, the BAUHAUS4EU contributors from WP2 (Design measures for a networked, mobile, responsive and value-driven BAUHAUS4EU Community) and WP11 (Communication, Dissemination, Exploitation) came back with even greater inspiration and numerous ideas and good practices to share.

Special thanks to the organisers from FOREU4ALL, EPICUR Alliance, the University of Strasbourg, all volunteers and colleagues!
