The European University Alliance BAUHAUS4EU officially introduced the members of its Advisory Council during the first joint online meeting with the Presidents’ Council, held on 5 December.
The Advisory Council acts as an independent body providing high-level guidance and expert input to support strategic reflection and the long-term development of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. While the Council has no decision-making or legal responsibilities and its recommendations are non-binding, its perspectives are highly valued and contribute significantly to shaping the Alliance’s vision and direction.
The members of the BAUHAUS4EU Advisory Council are:
Katarzyna Aleksy, Director of the Higher Education Programmes Department at the Foundation for the Development of the Education System FRSE (Poland), and primary liaison for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes with the European Commission and National Agencies.
Amir Asif, Vice-President for Research & Innovation at York University (Canada), leading strategies to strengthen international cooperation and global partnerships across higher education, government, and industry.
Erika Augustinsson, Innovation Strategist at Region Blekinge (Sweden), responsible for the implementation of the region’s Smart Specialisation Strategy and for advancing mission-oriented innovation through the initiative “Blekinge – a region on a mission”.
Christine Fernandez-Maloigne, Internationalisation Coordinator of France’s national Atypie-friendly programme, promoting the inclusion of neurodivergent learners in higher education and research worldwide.
Magdalena Sikorska, Secretary-General of the EUNICE Alliance, playing a central role in alliance governance and coordination under the European Universities Initiative.
Maurizio Tira, Board Member of the European University Association and former Rector of the University of Brescia (Italy).
