Université Lumière Lyon 2 (ULL2)

Lyon's Humanist, Open, Inclusive and Committed University

The Lumière Lyon 2 University focuses on a strong and rigorous vision of higher education and research, driven by a spirit and values that are also its hallmark: humanist, open and committed.

Located in the heart of Lyon, it is one of the few universities to offer such a wide spectrum of disciplines: human and social sciences, humanities, law, economics and management. It hosts nearly 27,000 students and 1,900 staff (teachers and administrative staff) on 2 main campuses (Berges du Rhône and Porte des Alpes) and 2 complementary sites (Rachais and Le Vinatier).

Its varied academic courses are aimed at all audiences and it combines openness and success for as many people as possible. Through its research programmes, its numerous partnerships and its actions to disseminate knowledge, it fully participates in social progress and strives to promote professional integration. Opening up to the rest of the world is a major challenge, which we take up by offering degrees and research activities in international partnership, and by encouraging student mobility.
